Back to School Bash
More details to come about registration and time in the new year.
The African American Pastor's Council will sponsor the 'Back to School Bash' at the Sprint Pavilion in August 2018.
Last year any student registered in the Charlottesville City or Albemarle County Public School system was given free supplies, which included things like book bags and haircuts.
Lashema Jackson, whose kids are in the city school system, says the 'Bash' was a big help. "With the budget that we have that was very good. They gave out free items today so that helped." says Jackson.
Superintendent Rosa Atkins says it was a community effort to get kids what they need for another year.
